Salamoff is the author of ON THE SET: The Hidden Rules of Movie Making Etiquette, The Complete DVD Book and the graphic novels Discord, Tales of Discord, Logan’s Run and issues of Vincent Price Presents. His short stories have been included in acclaimed anthologies including MIDIAN UNMADE: Tales From Clive Barker’s Nightbreed and he is a two-time Bram Stoker Award Nominee.
AMY BAILEY has been writing professionally for over 20 years. As a journalist and managing editor of HOLA AUGUSTA NEWSPAPER, she was a member of the ASSOCIATED PRESS as well as a frequent contributor to RESTAURANT USA and other business magazines. For many years she wrote the BUFORD PICKENS humor column for the AUGUSTA CHRONICLE that evolved into the humor book FISH GUTTING FOR NEWLYWEDS, which she turned into an award winning screenplay by the same name.
Under the pen name Dyal Bailey she wrote the well-received thriller novel THE ARTISAN and is the owner of two Rhinehart’s Oyster Bar restaurants in the Augusta area (beyondcasual.com). For several years, she was the host of THE AMY BAILEY radio show on WGAC in Augusta and is a frequent guest on radio and television shows. Her positive attitude, business success, and dynamic personality has made Amy a much sought after guest at large business and educational functions. As a producer on several indie projects, Amy is very active in the Georgia lm community and is the hospitality liaison for the Augusta Film Office.
ROBERT HOLLOCKS worked for Paramount Pictures for 12 years on movies and TV shows including FORREST GUMP, MISSION IMPOSSIBLE 1 & 2, SAVING PRIVATE RYAN, WAR OF THE WORLDS and the INDIANA JONES franchise as well as the STAR TREK film and TV franchise, before founding his own production company, RSJ group.
He has written, produced and directed commercials, viral videos, music videos, and award-winning documentaries for movies including EVENT HORIZON, THE ITALIAN JOB, OH WHAT A LOVELY WAR, and ONCE UPON A TIME IN THE WEST. He also directed and produced the award winning web series, THE WATCHER, and recently directed ANDROMEDA and FOR THE LIVING for LA SCI-FEST as well as serving as an associate producer for the overall festival. He is currently producing several features including ENCOUNTER, VAMPIRES OF HOLLYWOOD and MACH 1.
Denton Adkinson loves film and the art of filmmaking. His interests in the subject began in high school and while still a college student, he founded Bryton Entertainment, LLC, a film and video production company which he has co-owned since 2006.
Denton’s career has taken off in a relatively short time having been hired as Director of Photography for many projects both national and international: “29 Let’s Go” a World War II feature shot on location in Normandy, France, industrial spots for Walmart, the American Society of Civil Engineers, FoxSports Australia, and recently on a feature-length documentary “Happy: A Small Film with a Big Smile” that is making waves through the film festival circuit.
With his multi-faceted experience, Encounter under his belt, and a few more features underway, Denton is surely on the path to living the dreams of that young high school student with his Dad’s video camera.
Kevin D. Ross, ACE, is an Emmy-nominated television and feature editor, most noted for his work on Stranger Things and Halt and Catch Fire.
Kevin grew up in the Midwest and earned a Bachelor of Journalism from the University of Missouri. On the day of graduation, he was accepted into the film program at the University of Southern California School of Cinematic Arts, where he earned his MFA in film production.
Kevin is an elected editor representative on the board of directors for the Motion Pictures Editor Guild, IATSE 700, and last year he was invited to become a member of American Cinema Editors (ACE). He has been honored for his editing of both seasons of Stranger Things with two ACE Eddie Award nominations and an Emmy nomination.
Recently, Kevin edited the new season of The X-Files, and is editing a new series called Sacred Lies. More importantly, Kevin is happily married to Janet, an assistant editor who’s taking a break from post-production to raise their 10-yr old twins.
Born in New Jersey, Jerry Constantine relocated to Pittsburgh, PA where he worked for 3 years as an assistant to FX Legend Tom Savini (FRIDAY THE 13th, DAWN OF THE DEAD).
He then moved to Los Angeles where he found fast employment working for some of the top Make-Up FX studios on such films as SCARY MOVIE 2, THE CHRONICLES OF RIDDICK, THE CURIOUS CASE OF BENJAMIN BUTTON, FANTASTIC FOUR, 300, WATCHMAN and G.I. JOE.
After 15 years of working for others, Jerry stepped out on his own and formed Constantine FX. With the help of a talented crew, the company’s objective has been to promptly deliver quality product within the production’s budget. Neil Damman started his education in Belgium then moved to England and followed a two-year BTEC course in graphic design and illustration.
His professional career started as a sculptor but swiftly moved on to model making. From the start he was trained in the old school of filmmaking, using in-camera FX. Never having been a person to get stuck with just one arrow in his bow, in his spare time he would continue his own projects and learned motion control using a portable x,y,z rig and briefly becoming an operator. On project like HBO’s BAND OF BROTHERS, he would not only do model making but would also assist on the miniature pyrotechnic FX.
Neil was very fortunate to be given the opportunity to be thrown in at the deep end as a digital compositor on a Neil Marshall’s THE DESCENT. And after two months, he had taken on all the composites, freeing up the others to concentrate on matte painting. He also ventured into the art of matte painting on MUTANT CHRONICLES while building the practical models for the project. Other projects included RESIDENT EVIL, AVP: ALIEN VS PREDATOR and THE DA VINCI CODE.
Shortly after, Neil was offered a two-season compositors job on a children's TV series called LITTLE CHARLEY BEAR and followed that up working on a string of commercials and films including EVEREST, DOCTOR STRANGE, BEAUTY AND THE BEAST and 2018's TOMB RAIDER and SOLO: A STAR WARS STORY.
A film & video game composer of “exquisite talent,” Penka Kouneva has worked for 15 years on titles grossing $15 billion world-wide. She has made Hollywood history (the first woman Lead Orchestrator on films with budget over $100M - ENDER’S GAME and ELYSIUM).
A Sundance Institute Composer Fellow, Penka has scored dozens of independent features and video games and has composed two concept albums in cinematic orchestral-electronica style, “A Warrior’s Odyssey” (Howlin’ Wolf, 2012) and “The Woman Astronaut” (Varése Sarabande, 2015).
Like a great musical storyteller, her music carries the listener forth on an emotional wave, with soaring themes, innovative orchestral and digital textures, and primal percussion.
